That’s why The LIBRE Institute commissioned the 2026 National Poll of Hispanic Voters, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies surveying 1,200 Hispanic registered voters nationwide.
The results are a wake-up call for Washington.

The Economy Is the #1 Issue:
More than 80% of Hispanic voters rate the economy as fair or poor
Nearly 60% believe the economy will get worse over the next year
Inflation, jobs, housing affordability, and the economy rank as the top issues facing the country.
Affordability Is Squeezing Hispanic Families
70% say housing costs are unaffordable, the leading affordability concern
83% say their health care costs increased over the past year
Latinos are Concerned About The American Dream
Only 53% of Hispanic voters believe the American Dream is achievable for people like themselves
Growing anxiety that future generations will face greater barriers to success than previous generations
But the poll reveals more than economic pain. It confirms where Hispanic voters stand on the issues.
Education
At least 73% of Hispanic voters support school choice
Families, not the government should be in the driver’s seat on education
Immigration
91% agree the legal immigration system needs to be fixed
83% support focusing deportation efforts on individuals who have committed serious crimes
Hispanic voters want a secure border and a legal pathway that works
Health Care
83% say their health care costs have increased over the past year
Affordability of coverage remains the top health care concern.
Hispanic voters continue to value freedom, opportunity, and economic mobility and are firm believers in the American Dream.
We are living through a critical moment in American history, and Latinos will be at the heart of it. With more than 65 million Hispanic Americans and a growing share of voters, entrepreneurs, workers, and community leaders the future of the American Dream runs through Latino communities.
The challenges revealed in this poll are real. But so is the resilience, the optimism, and the enduring belief that America can and must live up to its promise.
