Event series equips thousands of students with backpacks and information on educational opportunities

Background
- According to a recent study, the average American family will spend approximately $612 per child on back-to-school spending needs, up 16% from last year.
- Surveys also indicate that parents of children in preschool are planning to spend as much as 32% more money this year.
- A key reason for the heightened spending is accelerated consumer prices, caused by inflation.
The LIBRE Institute serves as a trusted resource in helping Hispanics grow more prosperous by providing tools and information that empower the Latino community to build a successful future in the United States.
It is our hope that these back-to-school events across New Mexico will empower families to seek the best education opportunities for their child, as well as offset some of the rising back-to-school costs for families.
