(El Paso, TX) – The LIBRE Institute commented on events over the weekend.

Karla Sierra, Grassroots Engagement Director of The LIBRE Institute-El Paso, released the following statement:

“The LIBRE Institute family is heartbroken by this weekend’s attacks, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of these innocent victims. This sort of heinous, hate-fueled violence should be unthinkable. It is abhorrent and it has no place in our society.

“In recent years, our team in El Paso has worked with the Hispanic community to help people build their American Dream and bolster their contributions to our communities overall. We have partnered with local community leaders to support naturalization, back-to-school events, financial literacy workshops and various other efforts that have net positive impacts for all of us. We will continue to help and stand by our El Paso community – and with the many affected by these horrible attacks, across the country – to recover and rebuild. We know that when we all stand together, we are stronger than we ever could be as individuals.”
