Background:
As the nation celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, The LIBRE Initiative and The LIBRE Institute are hosting a number of educational and community service events intended to help empower the Hispanic community. These events will celebrate the multitude of ways Hispanics have enriched our culture and contributed to our way of life. “During Hispanic Heritage Month, and every other month, The LIBRE Initiative remains dedicated to empowering Latinos across the nation through events that educate and enrich our community. Generations of Latinos have helped make our nation the extraordinary success that it is – through service in the military, political leadership, charity, scholarship, innovation, contributions to art and culture, by building businesses, and in countless other ways. Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, we will be rolling out a number of events to recognize our community and equip families to overcome barriers to opportunity so that we may all continue to better enrich our nation.
