From taxes to education, immigration to health care, this poll reveals what matters most to Hispanic voters heading into 2025. The LIBRE Institute’s 2025 national poll of Hispanic voters, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies, demonstrated a strong concern about whether middle-class taxes were to go up for hardworking families and small businesses. Nor surprising, for our community the economy and jobs remained a top focus.
Topline numbers from the poll:
Taxes:
- 93% of Hispanics said they would be concerned if their taxes went up,
- 65% said they would be very concerned,
- 28% said somewhat concerned.
- 74% of Hispanic seniors said they would be very concerned about their taxes going up.
- 73% of Hispanic voters say the amount of taxes they pay is too high,
- 39% say taxes are way too high.
Economy:
- 43% of Hispanic voters say the economy is their number one issue, with,
- 25% of Hispanic voters say the economy and jobs are their most critical issue.
- 18% of Hispanic voters say inflation is their most important issue.
- 51% of Hispanic voters say the current state of the economy is poor.
Immigration:
- 85% of Hispanics agree that our legal immigration system is broken, including more than 80% of every partisan subgroup.
- 81% of Hispanic Republicans support increasing legal pathways among Hispanic Republicans.
- 79% of Hispanic voters want President Trump to focus on deporting people who have committed serious crimes, with 48% saying they strongly agree.
- 58% of Hispanic Republicans, 78 % of Hispanic Independents, 92% of Hispanic democrats agree.
