An Evolving Landscape: Latino Perspectives Shaping 2025

The LIBRE Institute National

We’re living through a critical moment in American history, one that could define the fate of our country for decades to come — and Latinos will be at the heart of it.

Latinos, one of the fastest-growing demographic groups in America, play a key role in our economy, our communities, and our culture.

That’s why The LIBRE Institute commissioned the 2025 National Poll of Hispanic voters, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies.

The results are a wake-up call for Washington.

  • The economy is the #1 issue for Latino voters, with over 80% citing inflation and jobs as top issues.
  • More than 6 in 10 Latinos are feeling pessimistic about the economy, and don’t think things are going to get better in the next year.

But those weren’t the only insights from the Poll. The survey confirms that Latinos are undergoing a historic political shift.

Whether it’s cost of living, immigration, taxes, energy and education, Latinos are strong supporters of common-sense, freedom-oriented policies across the board.

Take education:

  • 3 in 4 Latino voters support school choice, saying families — not the government — should be in the driver’s seat on education.

And taxes?

  • 91% are concerned about tax increases, a clear indication of why making the 2017 tax cuts permanent was the right choice for America.

What about immigration?

  • Latinos want a secure border and a legal immigration system that works; 73% support regaining control of the Southern border, and 81% agree that we need to fix our legal immigration system.

Crucially, Latinos overwhelmingly support America’s foundational principles. They champion free markets, reject the siren song of big government, and are firm believers in the American Dream.

These are encouraging numbers and come at the perfect time.

Next year will be the 250th birthday of one of the most daring and revolutionary experiments in the history of the world: America, a country founded in liberty.

Americans have an opportunity to keep building on that promise, and Latinos will be leading the way.
