Una de esas ideas incluye reformar el proceso de acreditaci\u00f3n universitaria para fomentar la innovaci\u00f3n y facilitar que los estudiantes personalicen su experiencia educativa y alcancen plenamente su potencial. Otra incluye limitar las subvenciones de los contribuyentes para la educaci\u00f3n superior \u2014subvenciones que llevan a escuelas y universidades a aumentar los costes de forma dr\u00e1stica\u2014. Un comit\u00e9 del Congreso escuch\u00f3 recientemente <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insideronline.org\/reader.php?id=86NE\">testimonio<\/a> sobre propuestas como estas, como parte de un esfuerzo continuo por identificar las mejores ideas para ayudar a estudiantes y familias, y controlar los costes.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Marilinda Garc\u00eda, portavoz nacional de The LIBRE Institute, emiti\u00f3 la siguiente declaraci\u00f3n:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u00abEl Gobierno federal tiene que reconocer los l\u00edmites \u2014y los problemas inherentes\u2014 de las pol\u00edticas basadas en subvenciones. El coste medio de la matr\u00edcula, el alojamiento y la manutenci\u00f3n en universidades y centros de cuatro a\u00f1os ha aumentado un <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2014\/01\/22\/obama-fails-miserably-in-quest-to-provide-education-that-doesnt-break-the-bank\/#ixzz2re7w82d6\"><em>28 %<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em><em>en los \u00faltimos siete a\u00f1os. Y aun as\u00ed vemos a defensores <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/diverseeducation.com\/article\/81902\/\"><em>presionando para obtener m\u00e1s ayudas<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em><em>en lugar de centrarse en los problemas de fondo del aumento de los costes.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Todos queremos ampliar el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n superior y garantizar que los estudiantes que quieren una educaci\u00f3n universitaria puedan permit\u00edrsela. Pero los resultados son claros: el dinero \u201cf\u00e1cil\u201d del Gobierno en forma de subvenciones est\u00e1 disparando los costes y cargando a la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n con una deuda estudiantil cada vez mayor. En un momento en el que el acceso a la informaci\u00f3n nunca ha sido tan f\u00e1cil ni tan barato \u2014gracias en gran parte al crecimiento de innovadoras plataformas de aprendizaje en l\u00ednea\u2014, deber\u00eda ser sencillo encontrar soluciones que controlen los costes y ayuden tanto a los estudiantes como a los contribuyentes. Pero si seguimos recurriendo a las subvenciones, no haremos m\u00e1s que repetir los mismos errores.
