Explica que incluso el ejemplo m\u00e1s reciente de un pa\u00eds socialista \u2014Venezuela\u2014 ha fracasado porque el modelo econ\u00f3mico no incentiva ni recompensa la producci\u00f3n. No obstante, el resurgimiento del socialismo no tiene por qu\u00e9 indicar necesariamente el deseo de acabar con la libertad econ\u00f3mica, sino m\u00e1s bien un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/monkey-cage\/wp\/2015\/11\/11\/bernie-sanders-says-denmark-is-socialist-forbes-magazine-says-its-the-most-business-friendly-country-whos-right\/?tid=a_inl\">Estado del bienestar ampliado<\/a>, como muestran las encuestas.  <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thelibreinstitute.org\/our-team\/daniel-garza\/\">Daniel Garza<\/a>, presidente y director de The LIBRE Institute, public\u00f3 la siguiente declaraci\u00f3n:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEl atractivo del socialismo siempre est\u00e1 ah\u00ed para algunos, pero una y otra vez hemos visto c\u00f3mo este modelo ha fallado a millones, dejando a su paso miseria, pobreza y hambruna. Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia y Cuba son los ejemplos m\u00e1s recientes de nuestro tiempo. No hay ning\u00fan resultado positivo de la planificaci\u00f3n central como el socialismo, o el comunismo, para el caso. Solo la promesa de renunciar a la libertad por seguridad tiene alg\u00fan atractivo\u00bb.   <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Pero es una promesa falsa. Esto se debe a que, de una manera muy real, <\/em><em>centralizar cada vez m\u00e1s la toma de decisiones y los recursos en el gobierno federal es un aumento del poder federal. Cada aumento de los impuestos federales es una disminuci\u00f3n de la libertad individual, cada nuevo mandato federal nos hace menos libres, y cada nueva norma o regulaci\u00f3n gubernamental deriva del deseo de un pol\u00edtico de modificar el comportamiento de los estadounidenses y su forma de vida. Cuando el gobierno se ha impuesto demasiado sobre la ciudadan\u00eda, se convierte en una barrera para las oportunidades y obstaculiza la libertad necesaria para el progreso.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Solo el capitalismo de libre mercado ha demostrado ser tanto moral como propicio para la prosperidad. La historia muestra que fue a trav\u00e9s del capitalismo de laissez-faire que los estadounidenses pudieron producir, innovar y cuidar unos de otros. Obtenemos beneficios mejorando la vida de los dem\u00e1s. Muchos en nuestra comunidad han venido a EE. UU. buscando un lugar que ofrezca oportunidades y recompense el trabajo duro, algo que no ten\u00edamos en nuestros propios pa\u00edses. Am\u00e9rica Latina est\u00e1 llena de ejemplos de socialismo fracasado, y comunismo.
