UU.<\/a>, la tasa de participaci\u00f3n de los votantes latinos en 2016 disminuy\u00f3 ligeramente con respecto a 2012, pasando del 48 % a solo el 47,6 %. Debido al crecimiento del tama\u00f1o de la poblaci\u00f3n latina en general, el n\u00famero total de votantes latinos aument\u00f3 a 12,7 millones, frente a los 11,2 millones de 2012. Aunque algunos analistas hab\u00edan previsto un aumento masivo de votantes latinos, ese incremento no se materializ\u00f3. En su lugar, el n\u00famero total de votantes latinos estuvo muy en l\u00ednea con las tendencias hist\u00f3ricas proyectadas por <strong>The LIBRE Institute<\/strong> en su informe \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/click.email.thelibreinitiative.com\/?qs=80103ab49f54a6298d0329886231ea9551dc52b3463175bd0a066adad7224c56bfbb448d65f9ad91b4cded6fbed721113d5c9f5d0698069a\">Hispanic MVP<\/a>\u201d, publicado en octubre de 2016. Seg\u00fan dicho informe, \u201clos hispanos emitir\u00e1n 13.028.298 votos y representar\u00e1n el 9,39 % del voto total\u201d. Los datos del Censo de EE. UU. indican que los votantes latinos representaron el 9,2 % del total.     <\/p>\n<p><strong>Jorge A. Lima, director ejecutivo de The LIBRE Institute, public\u00f3 la siguiente declaraci\u00f3n:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEs importante que todos los estadounidenses, incluidos los latinos, se informen sobre cuestiones cr\u00edticas de pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica y expresen sus opiniones sobre el rumbo de la naci\u00f3n ejerciendo el derecho al voto.
