UU. toman las riendas de su futuro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Una educaci\u00f3n de calidad es clave para alcanzar el Sue\u00f1o Americano, y las mujeres latinas est\u00e1n tomando cada vez m\u00e1s las riendas de su propio destino. Un menor nivel educativo puede ser un obst\u00e1culo en muchas \u00e1reas de la vida, lo que lleva a un menor empleo, mayores tasas de pobreza y menores ingresos, lo que subraya la importancia de la educaci\u00f3n para el bienestar de la comunidad hispana.<\/p>\n<p>Para celebrar el fin del Mes Nacional de la Historia de la Mujer, analizamos la distribuci\u00f3n cambiante de la poblaci\u00f3n latina (de 25 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s) en cuatro niveles diferentes de logro educativo en los Estados Unidos. Utilizando datos del Censo de la Encuesta sobre la Comunidad Estadounidense durante un per\u00edodo de cinco a\u00f1os, comparamos el tama\u00f1o de la poblaci\u00f3n latina en cada nivel de logro educativo en los siguientes gr\u00e1ficos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/libreinstitute.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Graphic-1a.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-44 \" src=\"http:\/\/libreinstitute.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Graphic-1a.png\" alt=\"Gr\u00e1fico 1a\" width=\"1000\" height=\"840\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Las mujeres latinas son un grupo demogr\u00e1fico joven y de r\u00e1pido crecimiento en los Estados Unidos, y el n\u00famero creciente de latinas en todos los niveles de logro educativo refleja esta tendencia. Sin embargo, el n\u00famero de latinas que alcanzan niveles educativos superiores est\u00e1 aumentando m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente que el n\u00famero de latinas en niveles inferiores.<\/p>\n<p>De 2009 a 2013, el a\u00f1o m\u00e1s reciente con datos disponibles, el n\u00famero de latinas con t\u00edtulos universitarios o superiores aument\u00f3 en m\u00e1s del 30%, mientras que el n\u00famero de latinas sin diploma de escuela secundaria creci\u00f3 solo un 9%.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/libreinstitute.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Graphic-2a.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-45 \" src=\"http:\/\/libreinstitute.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Graphic-2a.png\" alt=\"Gr\u00e1fico 2a\" width=\"996\" height=\"478\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cada vez m\u00e1s latinas eligen el camino de la educaci\u00f3n superior para asegurar una mejor calidad de vida para ellas y sus familias. Aunque las tasas de abandono escolar siguen siendo un problema grave en la comunidad hispana de EE. UU., la proporci\u00f3n de mujeres latinas que no tienen diploma de escuela secundaria est\u00e1 disminuyendo en comparaci\u00f3n con las que s\u00ed lo tienen. Aunque el n\u00famero absoluto de latinas sin diploma de escuela secundaria ha aumentado desde 2009, este aumento es insignificante en comparaci\u00f3n con el aumento del n\u00famero de latinas con niveles educativos superiores. En relaci\u00f3n con la poblaci\u00f3n latina total encuestada, la proporci\u00f3n de latinas sin diploma de escuela secundaria es casi un 8% menor en 2013 que cinco a\u00f1os antes, cayendo del 38% al 35,1% del total. Por el contrario, la proporci\u00f3n de latinas con diploma de escuela secundaria ha aumentado del 62% al 64,1% del total. En el extremo superior del espectro, la poblaci\u00f3n de latinas con t\u00edtulos universitarios ha aumentado en t\u00e9rminos absolutos de 1,6 millones a 2,1 millones, un incremento de m\u00e1s del 30%. A medida que el estado de la educaci\u00f3n latina contin\u00faa mejorando, los responsables pol\u00edticos deben tener en cuenta las necesidades de la poblaci\u00f3n hispana. Las pol\u00edticas gubernamentales que aumentan el precio de la matr\u00edcula universitaria, gravan los ahorros universitarios e impiden que los hispanos sigan una educaci\u00f3n superior son una barrera grave para la prosperidad econ\u00f3mica.
