Escrito por Naomi L\u00f3pez Bauman, el estudio muestra c\u00f3mo las decisiones de pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica a nivel estatal afectan los niveles de emprendimiento hispano. Los estados con una alta proporci\u00f3n de empresas propiedad de hispanos podr\u00edan ser los que m\u00e1s est\u00e1n frenando las tasas de emprendimiento hispano. Dada la tendencia de los hispanos a crear empresas a un ritmo <a href=\"http:\/\/cl.s6.exct.net\/?qs=ac8d663a26b21cd266a3172d799412841c008f76efd052f03dc1f2ec3d9db1b0\">doble<\/a> que el de los estadounidenses nacidos en el pa\u00eds, los emprendedores deben informarse sobre las pol\u00edticas que afectan a sus negocios, y los legisladores deben contar con informaci\u00f3n s\u00f3lida sobre los efectos de las pol\u00edticas que aplican.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los puntos clave se incluyen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Entre 1997 y 2007, el n\u00famero de empresas propiedad de hispanos aument\u00f3 de 1,1 millones a 2,3 millones, con un impresionante incremento del 101,8%. Un informe de 2014 publicado por Geoscape y la C\u00e1mara de Comercio Hispana de EE. UU. prev\u00e9 que el n\u00famero de empresas propiedad de hispanos alcanzar\u00eda los 3,2 millones en 2014.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>En cuanto a la actividad emprendedora hispana, Florida estuvo muy por encima de la media hispana del 0,38%. Texas estuvo en la media. Y Nuevo M\u00e9xico estuvo muy por debajo de la media.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Los requisitos de licencias profesionales en ocupaciones de bajos ingresos podr\u00edan estar provocando que algunos estados tengan un \u00edndice de emprendimiento hispano significativamente m\u00e1s bajo que otros. Las decisiones de pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica a nivel estatal podr\u00edan ser clave para explicar por qu\u00e9 en algunos estados muchos m\u00e1s latinos crean sus propias empresas.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Los responsables pol\u00edticos deber\u00edan examinar cuidadosamente la utilidad de los obst\u00e1culos creados por el gobierno que aumentan las barreras de entrada al emprendimiento, especialmente aquellos que tienden a desincentivar de forma desproporcionada el emprendimiento hispano.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La Southwest Business Summit cuenta con distinguidos panelistas nacionales y regionales que compartir\u00e1n perspectivas sobre energ\u00eda, comercio con M\u00e9xico, regulaciones y oportunidades y desaf\u00edos empresariales \u00fanicos que afectan a las peque\u00f1as empresas en el Suroeste.
