UU. contin\u00faa creciendo r\u00e1pidamente y representa una parte cada vez mayor de la poblaci\u00f3n total. Por ello, es fundamental que este segmento de la poblaci\u00f3n cuente con las herramientas necesarias para tener \u00e9xito, especialmente a medida que m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s hispanos ingresan a las escuelas y al mercado laboral. Entre 2020 y 2030, la Oficina de Estad\u00edsticas Laborales predice que los hispanos ser\u00e1n responsables del    <\/span><a class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-underline text-strikethrough-none\" draggable=\"false\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.dol.gov\/2021\/09\/15\/hispanics-in-the-labor-force-5-facts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">78 por ciento<\/a><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"> de los nuevos trabajadores netos (BLS 2021). Es de inter\u00e9s nacional que preparemos a los hispanos y a todos los estadounidenses, no solo para la econom\u00eda del futuro, sino para ser miembros productivos y comprometidos de la sociedad civil. Un sistema educativo s\u00f3lido, funcional y \u00e1gil puede ayudar a alcanzar estos objetivos. Existen barreras y desaf\u00edos \u00fanicos que la comunidad hispana debe superar para alcanzar su m\u00e1ximo potencial y ser una fuerza econ\u00f3mica y acad\u00e9micamente exitosa para este pa\u00eds. Si bien el nivel educativo hispano ha experimentado mejoras significativas en m\u00faltiples niveles, a\u00fan queda mucho trabajo por hacer. Seg\u00fan los datos m\u00e1s recientes sobre finalizaci\u00f3n de la escuela secundaria (para mayores de 25 a\u00f1os), los hispanos est\u00e1n 16 puntos porcentuales por debajo de la cifra nacional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">La pandemia de COVID-19 puso a\u00fan m\u00e1s de manifiesto algunos de los desaf\u00edos existentes que enfrenta la comunidad en el sistema educativo, en gran medida relacionados con la falta de recursos. El coste de los libros de texto, los materiales y, en ocasiones, el transporte hacia y desde la escuela puede suponer una carga significativa, especialmente para los hogares de bajos ingresos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Adem\u00e1s, a medida que se dispone de opciones m\u00e1s innovadoras y flexibles con la incorporaci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda, preocupa que las comunidades sin los recursos necesarios no puedan aprovechar esas oportunidades de aprendizaje y, en \u00faltima instancia, se queden atr\u00e1s. Todo esto conduce a niveles m\u00e1s bajos de \u00e9xito en el sistema educativo, frustraci\u00f3n por parte de los estudiantes y los padres, y probablemente contribuye a la alta tasa de abandono escolar en la comunidad hispana. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Afortunadamente, aumentar una variedad de opciones educativas diferentes es un camino prometedor que no solo brinda a los estudiantes y padres la flexibilidad que pueden necesitar en su educaci\u00f3n, sino que tambi\u00e9n fortalece el sistema en su conjunto. Al eliminar regulaciones innecesarias, eliminar restricciones geogr\u00e1ficas y abordar los altos costes, los estudiantes pueden estar en el entorno educativo que mejor les funcione, ya sea una escuela p\u00fablica tradicional, una escuela charter, una escuela religiosa, educaci\u00f3n en casa o una escuela privada. Para los estudiantes hispanos y otros estudiantes de color, los beneficios de m\u00e1s opciones ya se est\u00e1n viendo en lugares como las escuelas charter, donde los estudiantes hispanos que viven en la pobreza experimentan en promedio un <\/span><a class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-underline text-strikethrough-none\" draggable=\"false\" href=\"https:\/\/publiccharters.org\/news\/new-report-highlights-hispanic-student-achievement-in-charter-public-schools-hispanic-parent-support-for-public-school-choice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mayor crecimiento en el aprendizaje<\/a><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"> equivalente a 48 d\u00edas adicionales de matem\u00e1ticas y 25 d\u00edas adicionales de lectura.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">El \u00e9xito de la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de estudiantes e individuos estadounidenses est\u00e1 vinculado al \u00e9xito general de la poblaci\u00f3n hispana en EE. UU. y viceversa.
