Venezuela ha vuelto a ser noticia, y no se trata simplemente de una crisis pol\u00edtica, una tragedia humanitaria o una pol\u00e9mica historia de la semana. Es un caso de estudio real de lo que el socialismo le hace a una sociedad cuando el poder se concentra y la libertad se erosiona. Vale la pena analizar la lecci\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda y duradera que el pa\u00eds le ofrece al mundo. <\/p>\n

Venezuela nos ense\u00f1a una dura verdad: el socialismo promete igualdad, pero entrega dependencia. Promete justicia, pero produce pobreza y control. Promete mayor democracia, pero conduce a la opresi\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

El colapso de la que alguna vez fue una de las naciones m\u00e1s pr\u00f3speras de Am\u00e9rica Latina no fue inevitable. Fue el resultado de un sistema pol\u00edtico que centraliz\u00f3 el poder, control\u00f3 los mercados, silenci\u00f3 la disidencia y reemplaz\u00f3 la oportunidad individual con la dependencia del gobierno. <\/p>\n

Bajo el socialismo, el gobierno venezolano tom\u00f3 el control de las industrias, impuso controles sobre los precios y trat\u00f3 a la empresa privada como una amenaza en lugar de un motor de crecimiento. La productividad colaps\u00f3. La inflaci\u00f3n borr\u00f3 los ahorros. Los salarios perdieron sentido. Luchar en el trabajo dej\u00f3 de ser recompensado, y la lealtad pol\u00edtica se convirti\u00f3 en el camino para sobrevivir. Cuando los gobiernos controlan las oportunidades, controlan tu vida, y la libertad desaparece. <\/p>\n

Este sistema no solo da\u00f1\u00f3 la econom\u00eda; destruy\u00f3 la movilidad social. La educaci\u00f3n, el talento y el esfuerzo ya no se traducen en oportunidades. Las familias perdieron la capacidad de planificar, generar riqueza o transmitir estabilidad a la siguiente generaci\u00f3n. Entre las lecciones perdurables: no se puede regular ni subsidiar el camino hacia la prosperidad. <\/p>\n

El coste humano ha sido devastador. La escasez de alimentos, medicinas y servicios b\u00e1sicos se volvi\u00f3 algo rutinario. Millones huyeron de su patria, no por desastres naturales, sino porque una ideolog\u00eda fallida les arrebat\u00f3 la dignidad y la esperanza. El socialismo convirti\u00f3 a los constructores en supervivientes y a los ciudadanos en dependientes. <\/p>\n

Venezuela no fracas\u00f3 por su gente. Fracas\u00f3 por el socialismo. <\/p>\n

La historia demuestra que el progreso humano requiere libertad. El sistema estadounidense, dise\u00f1ado por los padres fundadores, se basa en una idea simple pero poderosa: el poder concentrado amenaza la libertad. Al limitar al gobierno, proteger los derechos de propiedad y fomentar la libre empresa, Estados Unidos cre\u00f3 un marco en el que el esfuerzo es recompensado y las ideas pueden convertirse en oportunidades. <\/p>\n

Las personas \u2014j\u00f3venes y mayores, de todos los \u00e1mbitos de la vida\u2014 prosperan mejor en un sistema donde la libertad permite asumir riesgos, innovar y ser propietarios. La prosperidad crece cuando las personas son libres de crear, competir y construir. No se puede tener prosperidad sin libertad. <\/p>\n
